Kuroko

Terms of Use

Last updated: July 9, 2026

These terms govern your use of Kuroko — the macOS application, command-line tool and MCP server (together, “the software”) — provided by Oleg Klimakov (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the software you agree to these terms.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software on Macs you own or control:

You may not reverse-engineer the software except where the law permits it, and you may not redistribute it or offer it as a hosted service without our written permission.

Your responsibility for connected agents

Kuroko exists to let AI agents read and drive macOS applications with the permissions you grant it. You are responsible for the agents you connect and for every action they perform through Kuroko, including actions triggered by content an agent read elsewhere (prompt injection). Use the software only to automate apps, accounts and systems that you own or are authorized to control. The built-in app policy, the write-tool disarm switch and the local action log exist so you can constrain and audit that access — review them before connecting an agent to anything sensitive.

Permissions

The software requires the macOS Accessibility permission, and the Screen Recording permission for screenshots. You grant and revoke these in System Settings at your own discretion; without them parts of the software will not function.

Updates and availability

We may release updates that change or remove functionality. The software is distributed as a Developer ID–signed, notarized direct download; it is not available through the Mac App Store because the App Store sandbox forbids driving other applications.

Disclaimer of warranty

The software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free, that every application can be driven reliably, or that an agent will do what you intended.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages — including data loss or actions performed in third-party applications by agents you connected — arising from the use of the software. Our total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid for your license.

Termination

These terms apply until terminated. They terminate automatically if you breach them; upon termination you must stop using the software. You may terminate at any time by deleting the software.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
