Privacy Policy

Pulse shows your live heart rate in a floating window during workouts. Your health data is yours: Pulse has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracking SDKs, and no servers of its own. The app works fully offline.

Information we collect

None. We do not collect, store, or have access to any personal or usage information. Everything Pulse processes stays on your device or in Apple Health under your control.

Health data

Pulse reads your live heart rate to display it during a workout, using the source you choose:

• Apple Watch — heart rate is streamed through Apple’s HealthKit workout session between your watch and iPhone.
• Bluetooth sensor — heart rate is received directly from your chest strap or armband over Bluetooth LE. Nothing is sent back to the sensor beyond the standard connection, and nothing is relayed anywhere else.

When you save a workout, Pulse writes it (duration, heart-rate samples, and related workout metrics) to Apple Health, so your rings and history stay up to date. Apple Health data is managed by iOS: you control access in Settings, and you can view or delete saved workouts in the Health app at any time. Apple’s handling of HealthKit data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Pulse never uses your health data for advertising or marketing, and never shares or sells it — consistent with Apple’s HealthKit rules.

What stays on your device

Your settings, heart-rate zone profile (such as age, resting and maximum heart rate you enter for zone calculation), workout history cache, and purchase status are stored locally on your device. This information is not transmitted to us or anyone else. Deleting the app removes this local data; workouts you saved to Apple Health remain there until you delete them in the Health app.

Bluetooth

Pulse asks for Bluetooth permission only to discover and connect to your heart-rate sensor. It does not use Bluetooth to track your location or proximity to other devices.

Purchases

Pulse offers optional paid upgrades (“Pulse Pro”) as subscriptions or a one-time purchase. Payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details or any personal information about you.

Children

Pulse does not knowingly collect information from children — it collects no data from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
